Holy Trinity Church of England Secondary School and Sixth Form in Crawley, West Sussex opened in 1969 and has gone from strength to strength. Academic results are outstanding at all Key Stages and are consistently well above the national average.

Project
Take One Productions was commissioned to work with Year 12 Media Students to create a promotional video for the school and sixth form college; the final film was added to their website and supplied on DVD for use at open evenings.

The film features short interviews with students, staff and parents relaying their thoughts and experiences of the school, along with an exciting montage of images that showcase the school's facilities and wide ranging curriculum.

The Take One team embrace every opportunity to work with media students in schools and colleges and to provide them with real industry experience.

The staff at Take One (who have full CRB Clearance) worked alongside the college's media students to plan, film and edit the programme. During the pre-production process the students were given responsibility for arranging suitable individuals to interview and for identifying locations for filming, drafting interview questions and arranging locations around the school to film cover material. They then worked with a Take One Producer to ensure that everything was in place for the day of filming.

During the production the students shadowed and assisted the two film crews. They were involved in setting up the video equipment, asking interview questions and directing cover material sequences. They were also involved in the editing of the programme and were able to observe and make decisions about the final film.

This project was a great example of how education and industry can help each other and enhance students' perception of the real working world.
