Asia, Africa and South America

Over the years Take One has produced many programmes for the Department for International Development (DFID), travelling extensively throughout Asia, Africa and South America, as well as the UK of course.

The style and content of each programme has varied considerably - from staff induction and procedures, to introductions from newly appointed senior members of staff and important messages from the Secretary of State. Most of the programmes we produce are 'streamed' on the Department's intranet to all staff in their 22 offices around the world - and we recently encoded the 2000th minute of video content.

Just over a year ago Take One produced a 'Question Time' style programme for the Department. Staff and external stakeholders were given the opportunity to ask a panel questions and air their views on the introduction of the 2003-2006 Public Service Agreement (PSA). The panel consisted of the Secretary of State, the Permanent Secretary and a representative from the Board of Directors and Treasury. A professional presenter facilitated the whole programme.

A year after the video and the PSA was launched, DFID wanted to review the progress being made and highlight some achievements. Once again, Take One was commissioned to produce a video which took our crew to Tanzania, Mozambique and Bangladesh.

The video was primarily produced for, and distributed to, all DFID staff, external stakeholders and MPs. It was also streamed from DFID's intranet and made available on DVD and CD.
