Corporate Ecological Safety
Profile
Since the introduction of steel hulled vessels around 120 years ago, water has been used as ballast to stabilise vessels at sea.
Ballast water is essential for safe and efficient modern shipping operations, but it contains a multitude of organic life, so if it’s pumped on-board in one port and discharged in another part of the world, there is a risk that non-native species may become established, posing a serious ecological, economic and public health impact.
Project
Wärtsilä is a Finnish Corporation. The company has operations in nearly 200 locations in 70 countries around the world. They are world leaders within the marine industry.
They provide a choice of robust technology for the treatment of ballast water and commissioned Take One to produce a short video to explain the ecological concerns, their choice of ballast water management systems, as well as their tailored turnkey solutions, to meet upcoming legislation and the specific requirements of individual owners and their vessels. The video was needed for use on their website at exhibitions and in client presentations.
We filmed in Wärtsilä’s factory and offices in Poole, Dorset and at Southampton Docks and produced a fast moving, 4 minute, presenter led promotional video.
Client feedback
We are really pleased with the outcome of our video – the result being both professional and engaging. Take One took on much of the project management and script development, which helped us considerably. I would definitely recommend them to other businesses.
